The governor of Akwa Ibom State has described the All Progressives Congress (APC), as an expired political party, which makes empty noise without having the political machinery to win the 2015 general election.
He said this at the Thanksgiving Service to mark the 70th birhday of Plateau Governor, Jonah Jang whom he described as a silent achiever and a loyal Peoples Democratc Party(PDP) member with the interest of the party at heart.
Akpabio also noted Governor Jang believe so much in the success of President Goodluck Jonathan and that “if Jonathan succeeds, Nigeria has succeeded and if he fails, the country has failed”
Meanwhile, President Jonathan, who was represented by Vice-President Namadi Sambo, assured Jang of the support of the Federal Government to impact positively on the lives of the people of the state, through series of developmental projects and programme, some of which includes: the construction and rehabilitation of the block of hospital, lecture theatres and class rooms at the University of Jos and the Federal Collage of Education Pankshin; rehabilitation of Port-Harcourt, Makudi, Lafiya, Kuru-Jos; and to Maiduguri narrow gate railway line, which will boost the economy of these states; rehabilitation of Langtang Tunkus, Shendam Road, and the completion of the Mangu water supply scheme, as well as the construction of the new 300kv transmission line power from Benue to Jos the Plateau State among others.
