Nollywood star Angela Okorie recently shared a bold claim on Instagram, stating she has never been denied a visa in her entire travel history. Showing off her international passports, Angela revealed she’s been traveling to the U.S. for over 12 years and is now an American citizen.
She wrote:
“Would you believe me if I said I’ve never been denied a visa? I love being an American citizen, but my only issue is whether I’ll actually settle there. I’ve been visiting the U.S. for more than 12 years. I enjoy using my Nigerian passport to enter any country I want. But the moment some immigration officers see the green passport, it’s immediately ‘step aside’.
But when they open my passport and see my travel record, they’re the ones telling me to move along.
Some of you are just starting your travel journeys—relax, enjoy the process, and you’ll get there too. There are still people who’ve traveled more than I have, so no need to compete.”
