A well-known social media user with the handle @AfricaFactsZone revealed that a politician from Uganda returned back an ambulance she gifted to her region after losing the election in 2021, shocking many online users.
Hon. Evelyn Anite, a politician serving as Uganda’s State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization, has publicly affirmed this.
The politician from Uganda thanked the page for bringing up the subject and said she did so without any regrets and would not apologise because the people didn’t vote for her.
She further stated;
“What made me do it? They didn’t vote for me, which is why. So, did you anticipate that I would leave empty-handed? 6:7 Galatians A man gets back what he puts in.
This truth has shocked a lot of online users, with some even wondering how she has the audacity to declare such a thing given that she didn’t win the election while asserting it brashly and without any remorse. See a few responses below:

@DrBale1 said: This is the level of embarrassment we are now happy about. A minister is happy to withdraw service. You wonder, do you still serve the same people as minister? The statement would be good if you rejected the ministerial position and went private as you say.
@IxacFreemahn said: If you decide to help. Do so with no strings attached

@SavvyRinu said: As a politician, your duty is to the entire population, not just those who vote you. Your ambulance or other amenities are not a tool of political gain or retribution. Your actions are unethical and against the principles of democracy and good governance. Was your ambulance just to buy their votes or a needed amenity for your own people?
