Akeem Adesola, the husband of Eniola Sisialagbo, has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding a leaked private video.
In a lengthy Facebook statement shared on Thursday, April 30, Akeem apologised after reports claimed he allegedly posted a private bedroom clip involving himself, his wife, and another woman in a group chat before it spread online.
Reacting to the backlash, Akeem accepted responsibility and admitted the seriousness of the situation.
“I write with a deep sense of responsibility and sincere remorse… I take full responsibility for my actions,” he wrote.
He described the incident as humiliating and acknowledged the pain it caused his family, friends, and associates.
“I acknowledge the disappointment, embarrassment, and concern this situation has caused,” he added.
Akeem also apologised to several groups, including his family, business associates, religious leaders, and supporters.
“To my family, I am truly sorry for the pain and distress this has brought upon you,” he stated.
He admitted that his behaviour did not reflect the standards expected by people who supported him over the years.
“To my fans and supporters, I deeply regret letting you down.”
Akeem said he now sees the controversy as a lesson and a chance to improve himself.
“I am taking this moment as a period of reflection, learning, and personal growth,” he said, adding that he intends to make wiser decisions going forward.
Before his statement, Eniola Sisialagbo had already spoken out in an emotional message, taking responsibility for her own role in the matter.
“I own my mistakes and I apologize with all sincerity… I am deeply sorry to everyone who felt disappointed in me,” she wrote on Facebook on April 29.
