A cheering news on a somber day in Lagos where a plane crash has been reported  is that  Feyi Agagu, the son of late Dr. Olusegun Agagu, and four other persons survived the plane crash with serious injuries.

Son-in-law  to  deceased former Governor Olusegun Agagu whose remained was being transported to Akure, when the crash occurred , Mr. Femi Adesanya also survived the crash too.

They have all been transported to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

Identities of the other survivors are yet to be released.

Aviation emergency agency that conducted rescue operations said 9 persons were killed.

Authorities are yet to make the flight’s manifest public.

The remains of the former Governor is said to be intact.

A statement from the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah said there were 20 passengers and 7 crew members onboard the aircraft which took off at about 9.30am local time and crashed shortly afterwards.

The Embraer aircraft with tag no SCD 361 was operated by Associated Airlines Limited.
