Embattled Afrobeats musician Seun Kuti has spoken out after being released from jail on bail a few hours earlier.
Seun Kuti was granted bail and released from jail by the Lagos State police command yesterday in the wee hours.
Journalists were informed of Seun Kuti’s release by his attorney, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, who said,
“Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago. His bail conditions had been perfected since last Thursday, but the police asked for an extension to remand him in their custody until today (Tuesday), to conclude an investigation.”
Seun Kuti has taken to his page a few hours after being freed to express his gratitude to his defense attorney, his family, and those loved ones who supported him and helped make his release possible.
