Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members on Friday morning engaged State Security Service operatives in a gun battle at Apo Legislative quarters, Abuja. Some people were hurt and 12 suspects were arrested during the encounter.
The SSS operatives had gone to the quarters to exhume weapons buried in an uncompleted building by Boko Haram members when they were attacked the sympathisers of the sect. More details later.
