Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, who took to Twitter to share an ‘update’ of her friend getting married, was told she might be intimidating prospective husband with being rich and famous.
Twitter user @Fortune_decent, who reacted to tweet of Toke Makinwa’s friend getting married, wrote;
“Aunty Toke men might be scared approaching you because ur pretty wealthy and famous they might feel u would not submit when u become a wife u know how African men are insecurity problems”.
However debunking claims of intimidating her prospective husband, Toke Makinwa wrote;
“We don’t need weak men. A strong woman should not intimidate you, a powerful woman should excite you, push you out of your comfort zone and make you want to be more.
“A strong woman should make you proud of her, knowing that if anything happens she has all it takes to get down and fix shit. If she intimidates you, you are weak and simply short sighted”.
