Sowore: Nigerians Are Ready for Judiciary Reset, Just Like #EndSARS

Justice Nicole Clay of the Lagos State High Court has ruled to release and clear three individuals who were held due to their involvement in the #EndSARS protest, as announced by the civic group Take-It-Back Movement. The group thanked the Lagos chapter for their legal support and stated their ongoing efforts to secure the release of about 10 more detainees. Barrister Ogunlana represented the freed individuals. The Take-It-Back Movement celebrated the release on their social media handle, expressing gratitude to their team in Lagos. The #EndSARS movement, which began in October 2020, aimed to end police brutality in Nigeria, particularly targeting the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). Some protesters were arrested during the movement, accused of inciting violence, while others were reportedly shot by Nigerian soldiers attempting to quell the protests.
