The Chairman of the Harvest Committee of Saint John’s Anglican Church, Iju-Ishaga, Lagos, His Royal Highness Christopher A. Ariyo, has said a good leader does not require a bulletproof car to move about in his country.

Ariyo, who is the Oba of Ibala in Ijesaland, Osun State, made the remark at the 21st Adult Harvest of the church tagged “Harvest of Breakthrough.”

He said: “When I went to Czechoslovakia as an ambassador, I couldn’t recognise the country’s president because there was nothing around him to suggest that he was the president. Nigeria and other West African countries should learn from this.”

He blamed politicians for the plight of our youths, especially in the area of unemployment and advised our leaders to attach much importance to education in order to solve most of the problems being encountered by the youths in the country.

The assistant vicar of the church, Rev. Josiah Onifalokun, said the money realised from the harvest would be used for the renovation of the youth chapel and other projects of the church.
