6 SUSPECTED SUICIDE BOMBERS IN WOMEN DISGUISE ARRESTED IN YOLA

The Nigerian Army says it has arrested six suspected suicide bombers disguised as women, have been arrested in Yola, the capital of Adamawa state.

The suspects were nabbed by the military at the ever busy Mubi roundabout in the state capital.

Eyewitnesses say one of the suspects was seen entering an uncompleted building. Unknown to him that some of the residents were watching, he came out disguised as a woman. As he was about to board a commercial tricycle (Keke NAPEP) the residents alerted the military detailed to cordon off the roundabout.

He said that the military immediately arrested the suspect and when he was interrogated he confessed and led them to the five others who also dressed in female attires close to the roundabout.

The eyewitness said the suspects said they were on a mission in the state to burn churches and that they are thirty in number.

According to the eyewitness, the suspects attempted to escape, but were apprehended by the military.

The suspects reportedly had tattoos indicating that they are members of the terrorist group Boko Haram, on their bodies. They were taken to the Army Barracks for further interrogation.

The presidential campaign train of the APC flag bearer Muhammadu Buhari is  expected in Yola today.
