KEBBI- A young 4-year-old girl, Fatima Mustapha has been murdered and parts of her body mutilated by people suspected to be ritualists, in Kebbi State.
The mutilated body of the child was found behind Zinari Hotel, Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, last Tuesday, after days of frantic searching.
Narrating the incident, the father of late Fatima, Mustapha Zaki said, “my daughter Fatima was playing outside in company of two friends who ran to tell us that three people came to them and enticed them with sweets and sent them home under the pretence that they would go with Fatima and buy more sweets for them.”
Zaki further narrated that when the other children could not explain who the three people were, the search for his daughter began.
“We searched everywhere and even informed the police. Two days later we were informed that her body was found behind Zinari Hotel and some vital organs of her body like the nose, tongue and even private part had been removed by suspected ritualists,” he added.
When contacted, the public relations officer of the state police command, Mohammadu Mainagge said he could not comment on the matter because he had been transferred out of the state.
