Afrobeats star Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has opened up about his deep admiration for fellow artist Wizkid and their recent collaboration.

In a candid statement, Asake revealed that Grammy-winning artist Wizkid has been a major influence on his music journey.

This revelation comes as Asake releases his highly anticipated third studio album, *Lungu Boy*.

“Wizkid has always inspired me; collaborating with him has been a dream,” Asake said.

The album features the standout track “MMS,” which includes his much-anticipated collaboration with Wizkid. Asake expressed his excitement about working with the “Ojuelegba” star, emphasizing that Wizkid has been a long-time source of inspiration for him.

In his words:

 “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song so when the opportunity came it was a no brainer.

“‘MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and it explains my music journey.”
