Mass Defection Hits Rivers Assembly as Speaker, Lawmakers Cross to APC

Wike Declares He’ll Keep Political Opponents Awake: “I Will Continue to Make Them Have Sleepless Nights”

Some Rivers APC members have condemned the relationship between the state governor, Nyesom Wike, and some southwest governors. The disgruntled members, who included members of the state house of assembly and house of representatives, demanded that the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, stop romancing Wike. They claim that APC leaders who visited the PDP governor at his invitation are effectively campaigning for him with their praises.

The disgruntled party members claimed that the leaders go so far as to inaugurate projects at Wike’s invitation, thereby boosting the PDP’s chances in Rivers ahead of the general election.
