Prominent Lagos-based cleric, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, has again cautioned governors in the country to be wary of their political moves ahead of the 2015 general election.
The founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke-Afa, Isolo, Lagos, who predicted the crisis bedeviling the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before its last convention, in an interview with our correspondent, urged Nigerians to pray for the ruling party and some governors, warning that troubles await them should they ignore divine counselling.
“We warned the Taraba State Governor, Danbaba Suntai, before his present predicament. Only God can restore him back to office. People should not write him off yet. However, the Taraba State Acting Governor, Umar Garba, must seek God. Those pushing him to take over the state now will disappoint him when he least expects as election is approaching.
“The Governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, should commit his future into God’s hand. Soon, the political mercenary of PDP will be hijacked from him if he is not careful. After his tenure, he needs to rebuke what could land him in jail. I foresee anti-graft agency chasing him. Tell his Cross Rivers State colleague, Governor Liyel Imoke, to also humble himself before God, otherwise, the same fate will befall him.”
“The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, must rebuke what could put him to shame. I could see court cases hanging on him after his tenure. He needs to pray against what could divide PDP in his state and stop his bid to anoint a successor to succeed him. I could see many governors in jail after their tenure.”
“PDP berated God when we warned the party. Well, more governors will still join the factional PDP. The threat by people like former Vice President, Atiku Abubarka, should not be taken for a joke. Even if the court finds it difficult to rule in the favour of the break away PDP, the faction will wreak havoc that will stand against President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election,” said Ayodele.
Let us begin to pray 4 Nigeria now, God we cry 4 YOUR mercy.
