The curfew earlier imposed on Damaturu, the State capital has been reviewed by the Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam.
A statement released by the Special Adviser on Press Affairs and Information to the Governor, Abdullahi Bego says the curfew will now begin from 8.00pm to 7.00am daily.
The curfew was imposed on Damaturu after gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members attempted to take control of the state capital on December 1, an attempt repelled by security forces.
The Governor then used these opportunity to appreciate the residents of the state capital for their support and cooperation with security agents while imploring others to remain vigilant to happenings around them and report suspicious activities to the nearest security posts.
