A driver with Zenith Assurance, Dare Olagundoye, has been docked by the police in Lagos for allegedly cashing N633,000 with 30 Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) cards found in his possession.
Addressing journalists on Monday, the State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, said the driver was arrested at a GT Bank branch in Ogba area of Lagos, after being sighted by other customers, withdrawing with various ATM cards.
“He had succeeded in cashing about N633,000 with the cards before he was arrested,” he said.
“The suspect claimed to be a money lender and disclosed that the cards in his possession belonged to those who borrowed from him and deposited them as collateral.”
