Plateau State Police Command has arrested a motorcycle rider, Stephen Gyang for allegedly killing his pregnant girlfriend.
The victim, Alice Samuel, was buried in a shallow grave by Gyang who apparently, is a Jss2 dropout.
Gyang claimed to have killed her for wanting to pin the pregnancy on him which in the beginning, she claimed wasn’t his. Her change of mind was prompted by her mother who wanted Gyang to take responsibility.
After the murder, he buried her in a shallow grave that was meant to serve as a pit toilet or well.
After the incident, Gyang claimed that the spirit of Alice never let him have peace and eventually, he told his brother who then reported to his father about it. The village chief also got to find out through his father.
Apparently, Gyang had an accomplice, James, who is also his friend. James claimed to have witnessed the event and had told him not to kill the victim but was instead threatened by Gyang who said he would kill him if he did not assist.
