The paternity dispute between Afrobeats superstar Davido and his alleged baby mama, Ayo Labinjoh, has intensified after she resumed her public criticism of the singer on Tuesday, January 20.
The “Second Child” Claim
In a controversial post, Labinjoh pushed back against accusations that she is trying to force her daughter, Anu, into the Adeleke family for financial gain. She claimed she knew Davido back in 2013 when he was still an “upcomer” and not yet super rich. However, she stirred the pot by referring to Davido’s recognized first daughter, Imade, as actually being his “second child,” citing the well-known paternity struggles of the past involving Dele Momodu.
She wrote:
“Even Uncle @delemomoduovation, who is close to the Adelekes and even an uncle to Anu’s half-sister, Imade, the second child, who also fought a DNA battle, has chosen not to intervene,”
Direct Confrontation
Labinjoh challenged the singer’s memory of their alleged intimacy and financial support, questioning if he had admitted to sending money for her daughter’s naming ceremony years ago.
She stated:
“David, YOU and I are the only ones who know who I slept with in February 2013. Have you told the world you sent me money on the day of the naming ceremony, in November 2013?”
She further lashed out at his character:
“You are a boy, not a man. You are a dad, not a father.”
Releasing Dates
To buttress her claims, she published a list of alleged dates corresponding to DNA tests she claims were conducted for Davido’s children, placing her daughter Anu at the top of the list.
She listed:
“Anu Adeleke September 2014, Imade Adeleke June 2015, Hailey Adeleke May 2017, Dawson Adeleke June 2021, Ivanna Bay, June 2023, in utero — #Terminated.”
Davido’s Silent Response
Hours after Labinjoh’s outburst, Davido seemingly responded without uttering a word. The DMW boss posted a heartwarming photo of himself and Imade on his Instagram story, a move interpreted by fans as a reaffirmation of her position as his first daughter.
