Nigerian influencer and entertainer, Yhemolee, has addressed swirling rumours about trouble in his marriage to his wife, Thayour, following a series of cryptic social media posts that fuelled speculation.
The couple, who tied the knot less than a year ago, became the subject of intense online gossip after Yhemolee shared messages hinting at emotional struggles.
In one post, he advised men not to “die for any woman,” claiming such sacrifice only leads to loss. In another, he reflected on the benefits of solitude, writing: “Isolation initially looks like punishment, but something powerful happens in the silence.”
These posts quickly went viral, with many interpreting them as veiled confirmation of marital issues. However, in a statement on Thursday, Yhemolee debunked the claims and took aim at “online in-laws” eager for drama.
“I wasn’t expecting any less from them. As dem no see food chop since from me, them go cook werey chop for themselves,” he said, dismissing public intrusion into his private life.
The entertainer went on to urge men to prioritise their mental and emotional wellbeing, even referencing the Netflix drama The King’s Affection (TKAM) as a point of reflection.
“All the men for TKAM dey oh. If you look am well, all the women remain alive,” he noted.
He also criticised the insensitive reactions to a viral video showing a man breaking down over his wife’s actions.
“You need to see the comments of the daughters of Jezebel. Hence, my outrage. Shalom,” he said.
Finally, Yhemolee stressed that even if he were facing personal challenges, he would never publicise them for the sake of online gossip.
“Agenda must agend. So even if I get crisis na, people wey never chop since yesterday I go come tell? My family dey go enjoy life like this. Make una dey there dey cry for Ijegun,” he added.
