YEMI ALADE, WIZKID, DR SID, OTHERS GET MOBO AWARDS NOMINATION

Organisers of the popular MOBO Awards have released the list of nominees for the 2014 edition of the awards and Nigerian acts, Davido, Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid and Yemi Alade have been nominated in the ‘Best African Act’ category.

In 2007, Nigerian pop act, 2face Idibia clinched the MOBO award for Best African act, a feat matched by 9ice in 2008, Nneka in 2009, South African act, K’Naan in 2010 as well as Wizkid in 2011, D’banj in 2012 and Ghanaian Pop star, Fuse ODG in 2013.

This edition of the Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) awards will take place at The SSE Arena in Wembley, London, on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 and will be hosted by Sarah-Jane Crawford.
