Social media activist VeryDarkman (VDM) has expressed shock and criticism after spotting a campaign-style poster featuring Seyi Tinubu in a hotel bar in Morocco.
The Observation
In a video shared online, the influencer revealed his surprise at finding the image of the President’s son prominently displayed in North Africa. Although the poster was reportedly an advertisement for the 2025 African Cup of Nations, VDM questioned why Seyi Tinubu’s face was being used to promote a football tournament outside Nigeria.
Political Ambition?
VDM interpreted the poster as a sign of early political maneuvering, suggesting that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is “desperate” with their strategies. He questioned the logic of having Seyi Tinubu who is not a professional footballer on a sports poster in a foreign country.
He stated:
“Seyi Tinubu, you carry this your campaign serious o. I enter hotel for Morocco Guess who dey for the bar for Morocco. Seyi Tinubu you dey play football, APC Una carry this thing reach Morocco? Seyi na footballer? Y’all are really desperate. You dey play football? Wetin your picture dey do for here.”
Netizens React
The video sparked a debate in the comment section. While some users agreed with VDM’s sentiment regarding the APC, others argued that Seyi Tinubu is a celebrity figure and his appearance on an ad doesn’t necessarily equate to a political campaign.
@Addlinbaby said:
“What APC cannot do does not exist”
@Odsonfx remarked:
“If e reach your turn no work hard. Wait make you win election from social media noise”

“This is not a political campaign, it’s clearly an advertisement! Seyi Tinubu is as popular as many celebrities, and featuring his picture prominently like that isn’t campaigning; it’s pure advertising. VDM needs to be wise enough to recognize the difference.
