Jasmine Okafor, the adopted daughter of Mr. Ibu, has commented on rumors of her being detained by the Police Force. According to a recent report by Naijalog, the police have confirmed the detention of Jasmine and her stepbrother, Daniel Oyeabuchi Okafor. They have been charged with embezzling a large sum of money, initially estimated to be N55 million but corrected by Jasmine to be worth 1 billion Naira, that was intended for Mr. Ibu’s medical treatment. The statement reveals that they had prepared their passports for departure, intending to flee Nigeria with the money. In response to the reports of their arrest, Jasmine expressed her emotions, saying that the actual amount involved was more than the initial estimate.
