A woman in China who named her dog after her neighbour and swore at it repeatedly has been ordered to pay £500 in compensation.
Hu Lin had fallen out with her neighbour, Wang Sun, after they butted heads over a building extension to his home six years ago, the Austrian Times reported.
It seems she was so angered she decided to call her pooch after him and whenever he was in the vicinity she allegedly started to curse at the pet loudly.
‘To get her own back she named her dog Wang and then whenever she saw me she would start swearing and insulting the dog using my name’, Wang said during the proceedings at the courthouse in Gansu province, northern China.
‘Everyone knew what she was up to’.
The judge agreed Wu’s actions had caused Wang ‘mental anguish’ and punished her with a £500 fine and also told her to apologise.
