A 26-year old woman, Ijeoma Abazie has been charged before an Isolo Magistrate for allegedly inducing her sex partner, Dare Bunnmgarner with a substance suspected to be drug in a hotel room and stealing his dollars.

The victim who lodged at a popular hotel on Lambert Imasuen Drive, Ajao Estate, Lagos reportedly slept off after a sex romp.

 

Ijeoma afterwards ransacked Dare’s pockets and bags, locked him inside and bolted away with a sum of $1,440 and other valuables.

 

 

Luck however ran out for her when a hotel guard who noticed her suspicious ways,  searched her and discovered that she hid the key to the hotel room and wanted to escape with it.

 

She was promptly arrested and handed over to the police who have since preferred a six-count charge of felony and stealing under section 278 of the criminal code laws of Lagos State 2011 against her.

 

When her case came up for hearing at the an Isolo magistracy yesterday, she pleaded not guilty.

 

The magistrate, Mrs. I. O. Akinkugbe granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

 

The matter was adjourned till 30 April 2012, while she was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri Apapa, Lagos pending when she will meet her bail conditions.
