Nigerian comedian and media personality, Woli Arole, has weighed in on the growing trend of women choosing surrogacy despite being physically able to carry a child themselves.
In a recent Instagram post, Arole shared that he believes it is a divine gift for women to experience pregnancy and childbirth naturally. He emphasized that medical alternatives like IVF or surrogacy should be reserved for situations where health complications prevent natural conception or childbirth.
He added that women should honor and respect their bodies as sacred vessels, referring to them as “God’s temple.”
He wrote,
“Listen carefully, it is a blessing for a woman to carry her baby in her womb, that is how God wants it. Do not let wokeness derail you. Unless for medical reasons she can adopt options like surrogacy, IVF, and all.
“You cannot say my body my decision, i do not feel like carrying a child i want surrogacy. Nooooooo, your body is Gods temple.”
