Wizkid Sparks Debate After Claiming He Rose Without a Blueprint

Boluwatife “Bolu” Balogun, the 14-year-old son of Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, has set social media abuzz after dropping a short rap freestyle hinting at his entry into music.

In the viral clip, Bolu confidently spits bars about ambition, success, and determination, echoing the mantra “Get rich or die trying.” He also vows to gift his mother, Shola Ogudu, a Lamborghini a line that instantly caught fans’ attention and quickly went viral.

Fans Applaud His Flow and Confidence
The snippet has earned Bolu widespread praise, with many lauding his lyrical delivery and stage presence despite his young age. Comments like “Star Boy blood too strong” and “Wizkid’s legacy continues” flooded social media, as fans celebrated what many see as the continuation of Wizkid’s musical legacy.

Mixed Reactions Trail the Clip
While numerous fans commended Bolu’s talent, some argued that his fame may be influenced by his father’s global status. Others pointed out the irony, recalling Wizkid’s previous remarks calling rap “boring” and “dead.”

Nonetheless, notable figures such as Olamide and music platform NotJustOk reportedly showed support for the teenager’s artistic potential.

Bolu’s rap teaser has now become one of the most talked-about clips across Afrobeats social spaces, with fans eagerly anticipating his official debut track.
