Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, a well-known Afrobeat singer, experiences a severe loss with the passing of his mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun.
According to reports, Mrs. Balogun passed away in her home on the evening of Friday, August 18, 2023, about one in the morning.
The report was corroborated by her son Wizkid’s longtime manager Mr. Sunday Are over the phone with The Punch.
She did really pass away this morning at around 1:30 am, Mr. Sunday Are told The Punch.
The mother of Wizkid is survived by her spouse and two additional children, Yetunde and Lade Balogun.
Through various social media channels, admirers and well-wishers express their sympathy to the musician and his family at this difficult time.
Wizkid loses his mother, which is a difficult loss for him.
