The war of words between Wizkid and J. Martins might have simmered but the young singer seems to be proving he is worth 10 times more than his colleague.

A reality check came for J. Martins on Sunday, September 1, when Channel O and Forbes Africa presented their list of top 10 most bankable African artistes and sitting at number five on the chart was the Empire Mate Entertainment (EME) artiste, Wizkid.

The list, which is based on artiste’s sales, endorsement value, popularity, show rates, awards, YouTube views, investment, influence, appearance in newspapers and social media presence was devoid of any name that started with the alphabet J, not to mention J. Martins.

Music buffs that have been monitoring the face-off between the two entertainers have described the situation as a “shut up” statement from Wizkid to J. Martins.

Other Nigerian artistes on the list include music producer and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, D’Banj, P-Square, 2Face Idibia, Ice Prince and Banky W.

Conspicuously missing from the list was Davido, who was in Miami, Florida, America, on the same day, celebrating his sister’s wedding. The artiste, however, took to twitter to express his disgust at Forbes Africa, tweeting “Forbes Balu.”
