Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has announced that his upcoming sixth studio album will be dedicated to his late mother, Jane Morayo Balogun.
The ‘Ojuelegba’ star shared this news in a video message on his social media on Saturday. The album, named ‘Morayo’ in honor of his mother, is set to be released “very soon.”
Wizkid, while stepping out of a private jet, stated, “My album ‘Morayo’, dedicated to my mum, the love of my life, drops very soon. Don’t dull. Don’t sleep.”
Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun passed away on August 18, 2023, in London, and was subsequently buried in Nigeria. Wizkid described this period as a profoundly painful moment for him and his family.
