Afrobeats star Wizkid has reached a historic milestone with his latest single, “Kese,” which garnered over 1.5 million Spotify streams on its release day, surpassing the previous record set by Davido’s “Awuke.”
Wizkid’s new track, “Kese,” from his album *Morayo*, follows closely after his recent hit “Piece of My Heart” featuring American artist Brent Faiyaz, which also made waves with over one million Spotify streams on its first day.
According to Chart Data’s latest music rankings, Wizkid holds the top two positions for the highest-streamed songs in Nigeria on their debut day, with “Kese” at number one and “Piece of My Heart” in second. Asake’s Grammy-nominated “MMS” featuring Wizkid follows in third place with 870,000 streams.
This latest achievement further cements Wizkid’s status as a leading icon in Afrobeats.
