Famous American rapper Wiz Khalifa has shared his views on why he believes couples should date for at least 10 years before marrying. According to Wiz, spending a decade together allows couples to truly understand each other and their families before taking the big step of marriage.
In a recent appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, the 37-year-old father of two explained, “People should date for 10 years before getting married because it’s enough time to learn about each other, their families, and what it will be like when you live together.”
When asked about whether couples should live together before marriage, Wiz offered a nuanced response: “It depends on the situation. Some people move in right away and still need more time to figure things out. If you don’t live together initially, you’ll see one version of the person, but a different one when you do.”
Wiz Khalifa married model Amber Rose on July 8, 2013, and they had a son that same year. However, in September 2014, Amber filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, and their marriage was officially dissolved in 2016.
Currently, Wiz is in a relationship with Aimee Aguilar, his girlfriend of five years, with whom he recently welcomed a daughter.
