A man from St Alberts in Centenary learnt the hard way that having a ‘small house’ has serious repacations that can be permanent at times. This was after his wife caught him and his girlfriend making love and burnt him with a paraffin stove.
The alleged incident took place on 15 November in Headman Kujogo’s village where the man, Ronald Chibika (37), had gone to quench his sexual zest on his girlfriend Merilyn Chidzenga (35). Ronald was seriously burnt by his wife Rangarirai Mastara (32) after being caught ‘firing’ his small house with his ‘sperm gun’ at around 7pm.
It is said after being caught cheating, Merilyn maganed to escape STARK NAKED and later covered her body with a bed sheet. Rangarirai then grabbed a lit paraffin stove and threw it on her husband who was lying on the bed naked.
Chibika is battling for his life at St Albert’s hospital where he is receiving treatment. Interestingly, he is receiving ‘quality treatment’ from his own wife – the same woman who ‘roasted’ him, as she is said to be a staff member at the same health institution.
Reports say on the day in question, Chibika who was drinking beer at a township in the area, did not go home (in Marifonde village) where he lives with his wife, but instead opted to spend a night with his girlfriend. While the cheating man was allegedly in the middle of enjoying the bedroom pumping game, his wife pounced on them and unleashed a lesson for his life.
Our news crew managed to pay Chibika a visit at St Albert’s hospital. The man who was visibly so much in pain, however refused to entertain the news crew.
“I’m not in a position to talk about this issue. Anyway I’m now much better as compared to what I was feeling when I got admitted last week Thursday (15 November), but I did get burnt,” said Chibika.
When our news crew arrived at the hospital, Rangarirai was spoon-feeding her ‘roasted’ husband. She was giving her sadza and beans. Unfortunately, Chibika further denied our news crew to interview his wife.
“Do not talk to my wife right now. Rather let her come to me first so that I can have a word with her,” said Chibika after his wife had dashed out for a while.
Luckily, this reporter followed her and successfully managed to have a chat with her.
“Yes I burnt my husband but we have since ironed out our differences. let me talk to you after having a word with my husband first,” she said.
The alleged ‘husband braaer’ is a nurse aid at St Alberts hospital. Despite refusing to divulge more information, sources who spoke to our news crew said Rangarirai had in actual fact been frustrated by the fact that her husband (an engineer by profession) is unemployed. Rangarirai is said to have bought expensive clothes on credit for her husband – just before he decided to spend a night with his lover.
Chibika’s girlfriend, who works in a farming equipment shop, confirmed that they were caught while in the middle of the act.
“It’s true, she was acting on a tip-off and she came to my lodgings at night where she caught her husband and I sleeping on the bed naked. I escaped and a misunderstanding immediately ensued between herself and her husband before Rangarirai grabbed a lit paraffin stove and threw both the stove and the hot pot on Chibika’s body. He got seriously burnt,” said Merilyn.
Chibika is said to have become a ‘fire man’ like a ghost as his whole body caught fire before he cried out loud for help. The fire, after ‘braaing’ the cheating man, reportedly destroyed Merilyn’s property including 2 blankets, a tv set, 2 DVD players, a radio, a laptop, solar battery and other belongings. The total value of the destroyed belonging was estimated to be US$1074.
“I just want her to compensate me for my property that she burnt. Chibika and I are madly in love mufunge. I actually take him as my own husband, I’m not his prostitute. I will never part ways with him,” vowed Merilyn.
