Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has given advice to his fans and followers on how to deal with hate comments on social media. The actor, who has been attacked online due to his marital issues, said that people should not allow hateful remarks to affect them. He stated that most trolls have unresolved issues and their remarks are meaningless. Yul Edochie questioned why people would be upset when a broke person calls them broke or when an unattractive person labels them ugly. He further asked how one could take advice from someone who hasn’t figured out how to solve their own problems. The filmmaker concluded his post by saying that anyone who still listens to online trolls is not ready for life and advised everyone to be grounded and serious.
In his words: “Stop allowing people’s hate comments about you on social media to get to you. Their comments don’t mean anything. Ugly people call you ugly & you’re bothered? Broke people call you broke & you’re worried. People who haven’t fixed their own problems are telling you how to fix yours & you’re listening to them? You’re surely not ready for this life. Do you. Focus.”
