Veteran Nollywood actress Binta Ayo Mogaji has opened up about her reasons for ending her 13-year marriage to retired footballer Victor Ayodele Oduleye.
In a recent interview on the ‘Talk To Be’ podcast with Biola Bayo, Mogaji revealed that Oduleye was abusive, sharing the troubled history of their relationship.
This revelation follows her previous disclosure about having a 20-year-old son with actor Jibola Dabo, whom she referred to as her boyfriend before marrying Oduleye in 2006.
Binta Ayo Mogaji recounted her tumultuous journey with Oduleye, breaking her silence on the marriage’s downfall.
“We fell in love, but I endured beatings over any little thing. Even in England, the abusive language, mental torture, and physical abuse were overwhelming. When it gets too much, I advise anyone to leave that marriage.
“It reached a point where, when it was just the two of us at home, I would go outside the compound and sit until someone else came around to avoid being abused. We were together for thirteen years and have been separated for four years now,” she said.
