Afropop musician Peruzzi recently explained why he didn’t intervene in the feud between Burna Boy and Davido. During an episode of the Zero Conditions podcast, co-hosted by Melody, Excel, and Motolani Alake, Peruzzi stated that he didn’t get involved because the situation between the two artists is more complicated than most people realize. He claimed that since Davido and Burna Boy are like brothers, he felt powerless to step in.
Peruzzi, who is older than both artists, also claimed that he never agreed to anything related to their disagreement over Burna’s song, “Pull Up”. He stated that despite the disagreement, he still enjoys a good relationship with Burna Boy. The singer also believes that Davido and Burna Boy will resolve their differences on their own time and without outside intervention.
During the interview, Peruzzi revealed that Burna Boy published the song “Pull Up” without informing him, even though he wrote the song and was supposed to be on it. However, Peruzzi claimed that such incidents are typical in the music industry, and they did not harbor any ill feelings towards each other.
Motolani asked; “Did any of the funny energy between him [Burna] and David affect you guys relationship?”
In response, Peruzzi said; “No, it never did. First of all I am older than both of them, ad I have never been a rubbish guy to anybody, I have never been a yes man. I will always yarn you how things…Because even when they were quarreling [chuckles].
I didn’t try to settle it because it was deeper than normal. You know they are brothers now. They will still settle don’t worry.”
"You and Odogwu (Burna Boy). Pull Up. What the fvck happened?"
