Bollywood star Pratyusha Banerjee has committed suicide aged 24.
According to reports, the actress took her own life by hanging herself at her home on Friday.
Pratyusha was rushed to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai where she was sadly pronounced dead.
The news was confirmed by her close friend and fellow actress Kamya Punjabi.
Banerjee was best known for her debut role in Balika Vadhu. She later shifted to reality shows and participated in Bigg Boss 7. Her last outing on TV was in Sasural Simar Ka ..
Bollywood Life also reports that Pratyusha had become ‘extremely depressed’ over her relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh.
The website adds that the couple were planning to get married soon.
It could be recalled that in 2013, Bollywood actress Jiah Khan ‘commited suicide’ in Mumbai
Jiah Khan also reportedly hanged herself.
In 2014, another Bollywood actress Saiyyam Khanna was also found hanging from a ceiling fan of her room.
