Former lovers? Singer Waje and artiste manager Godwin Tom.
Sources close to Nigerian singer Aituaje Iruobe, better known as Waje, leaked out a vital information that the singer once dated her now former manager Godwin Tom.
Godwin started working with Waje in 2012 as a consultant while the singer was being managed by Michael ‘Naija Review’ Ndika. When Ndika stopped managing Waje in December 2012, Godwin took over.
It is believed that during the course of their business relationship, Waje and Godwin got romantically involved. The relationship, according to sources, ended in February 2014.
‘They dated at a point when they were working together but broke it off back in February,’ one source close to Waje disclosed.
But Waje’s reps say nothing like that happened. ‘This is an unfortunate blatant lie manufactured for malicious purposes. I’d advise that Waje’s fans ignore the rumour for what it obviously is and concentrate on her coming activities as will unfold in the course of a few weeks. Thanks,’ her team said in response to our correspondent’s enquiries.
Mr Tom stopped managing Waje and Wizkid recently. Waje unlike Wizkid has tried to keep her private life private, even though she admits she’s been in and out of relationships over the years. The mother of one once dated rapper Gino.
