A video has surfaced online showing multiple Master’s degree holders applying for a cameraman position with popular streamer Peller, sparking mixed reactions across social media.
The content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, recently announced a vacancy for a cameraman with an unusual condition — applicants must have at least a Master’s degree. The job promises a lucrative ₦500,000 monthly salary, and only two out of twenty candidates will be chosen.
In a trending clip from the interview, Peller is seen in a relaxed setting, chatting and sharing laughs with the candidates, both male and female. At one point, he jokingly asked an applicant if they actually brought their certificate in the envelope they submitted.
While the video had a lighthearted vibe, it ignited heated discussions online. Many questioned why highly educated individuals would apply for such a role — especially for someone like Peller, who isn’t publicly associated with formal education. Others defended the applicants, citing Nigeria’s tough economy and high unemployment rate.
