The country is in a mess, Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy Tax Reforms to act quickly.
Shettima made the call on Monday after hosting the committee’s head, Taiwo Oyedele, in his office.
The vice president asked the team to create a road map that would immediately revitalize Nigeria’s economy and expressed confidence that they would come up with the finest minds.

The vice president acknowledged making the call and receiving the committee, led by its chairman, at the presidential palace in Abuja in a tweet on Monday, August 28.
The task of restoring Nigeria’s economy is huge, but Vice President Shettima expressed trust in the committee to find the greatest candidate for the job.
Shettima criticizes Tinubu’s economic team for their lack of progress.
The former senator argued that the committee needs to expedite the repositioning of “our economy” by addressing some fundamental concerns connected to the fiscal and tax policies. She added that these topics are crucial to understanding the economic significance of any nation.
Shettima went on to say that Nigeria has a history of poor leadership and faced numerous difficulties. He adds that his principal is progressive and that President Bola Tinubu is brave and devoted.
He said in a tweet: “I think you will develop a blueprint to save our country. We are in a terrible situation, but I have faith in your team. My principal is a guy of courage and conviction; he is a progressive man in the Nigerian political sphere. This is a wonderful nation bound by inadequate governance, chained by numerous issues.
