Renowned Nollywood actor Tom Njemanze has sadly passed away at the age of 75, following a prolonged battle with prostate cancer.
Reports confirm that the beloved actor died on Friday. Njemanze, who rose to stardom in the 1990s, was best known for his compelling roles in classic Nigerian films like Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London, Brain Box, and Igbotic Love.
Celebrated for his powerful voice and magnetic screen presence, Njemanze earned a lasting place in Nollywood history as one of its most impactful performers.
Since the news of his passing broke, heartfelt tributes have poured in from fans, colleagues, and family members, all mourning the loss and praying for his soul’s peaceful rest, while also extending strength and support to his loved ones.
It’s worth noting that filmmaker Stanley Ontop previously revealed in a video that Njemanze had been battling prostate cancer and was in urgent need of financial assistance for surgery.
