Popular activist Verydarkman has weighed in on the recent arrest of businessman E-Money by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
As previously reported, the billionaire was apprehended by the anti-corruption agency over allegations of Naira abuse.
Reacting to the development, Verydarkman criticized the EFCC for what he described as a display of double standards. He pointed out that the children of Okoya, who were also seen abusing the Naira, have faced no consequences, while E-Money, an Igbo businessman, is being prosecuted for a similar offense.
He went on to express his frustration, accusing the agency of engaging in selective persecution and deliberately targeting individuals from the Igbo ethnic group.
Verydarkman said in part …
“About 50 men stormed E-Money’s house and that was how they arrested him…them invite Okoya pikin nothing was done; naso that case don go, but now you go E-Money house go pick am, say him leg mistakenly touch naira.”
“@iam_emoney1 is currently at @officialefcc custody allegedly,I am beginning to believe that there might be a vendetta aga!nst the ibos, ibos be careful they are coming for you….OKOYA CHILDREN ARE STILL WALKING FREELY,” he captioned.
