Media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has responded to criticism over a recent lighthearted video featuring him alongside singers Naira Marley and Zinoleesky at a nightclub.
The video drew backlash from social media users who questioned VDM’s decision to associate with Naira Marley, given the controversies surrounding the death of his former artist, Mohbad.
Earlier reports revealed that Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, were detained for questioning in connection to Mohbad’s death but were later released.
VDM, who has previously criticized actress Iyabo Ojo and Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, regarding issues surrounding the late singer, addressed the situation on his Instastory. He claimed that the case of Mohbad’s death is essentially closed, suggesting that public emotions have allowed those with critical knowledge to hide the truth.
Standing firm on his beliefs, VDM stated that he refuses to conform to popular opinion, asserting that he remains committed to seeking and speaking the truth.
He wrote:
“Mohbad case don end make una no vex, na una sentiment give the real people when know wetin do the boy passage to hide the truth… Just like I warned so it has happened, Mohbad will never get justice. As a ratel I will stand for the real truth, not the crowd truth.”
