Controversial social media influencer, Verydarkman, has sparked online debate after labeling Benue State as the most underdeveloped place he’s ever seen.
In a viral video following his recent trip to the state, he remarked, “Benue feels like it’s stuck in the 1940s. It’s the most backward state I’ve visited.”
He expressed frustration over the region’s poor infrastructure and insecurity, pointing out that these issues are a major barrier to investment.
“Investors are avoiding the area because of terrible roads and safety risks,” he stated. “I’m trying to drill a borehole in Yelwata, but the work has stalled — the workers are too scared for their lives to continue.”
