Controversial social commentator VeryDarkMan has criticized content creator King Mitchy over her viral exchange with the Ooni of Ife.
The latest clash comes after King Mitchy challenged VeryDarkMan to utilize funds donated to his NGO for school renovations, noting that she had carried out similar projects herself.
Tensions escalated when King Mitchy shared what she claimed was a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation showing the Ooni of Ife messaging her and placing multiple calls to her phone.
Reacting via Instagram, VeryDarkMan analyzed the alleged chat and expressed disappointment, arguing that the influencer did not appear to show adequate respect to the revered monarch. He suggested that if she could address a traditional ruler so casually, she would be unlikely to show him any regard either.
VeryDarkMan said in part:
“I just dey think am now. If I see Ooni of Ife, I will now down to greet him. Meanwhile, him dey bow to Mitchy for WhatsApp. Abi na because say ‘King’ dey her name. But na Instagram throne she get now. A whole Ooni of Ife. I’m disappointed. See missed calls, and him dey even remind her. See as she commonize am say na ‘even this king’. I’ve seen it all. She can never regard me. Abi make I put King president of Ratel. Shout out to the Alaafin of Oyo.”
