Venezuelan national team coach César Farías has released his 22-man roster for the Vinotinto’s upcoming friendly against Nigeria in the first-ever soccer match to be played at Marlins Park.
The national team coach will be coming with all of his starters from the World Cup qualifying campaign including Athletic Bilbao’s Fernando Amoerbieta, Rubin Kazan’s José Salomón Rondón and Borussia Mönchengladbach star Juan Arango.
Venezuela also sees the return of César González, who last year played with Argentine side River Plate as well as many other legionnaires will celebrate the Venezuelan national team’s return to South Florida.
What does stand out in this callup is the addition of several young players from the youth sides as is the case with Arquimedes, Francisco Carabalí and Gelmín Rivas of Deportivo Anzoátegui. Overall nine players will be on this callup that will be either making their first tour with the national team or are part of the squad’s renovation come the 2018 World Cup cycle.
