Popular social media commentator VeryDarkMan has broken his silence on the unfolding Harrison Gwamnishu scandal, revealing that he personally pushed for Harrison’s arrest.
This comes after widespread allegations claimed Harrison diverted money meant to secure the release of kidnapped victims in Edo State a revelation that left many followers stunned.
In a post on Instagram, VeryDarkMan explained that once the case surfaced, he verified the claims and advised everyone involved to avoid posting anything online. However, someone still leaked the information.
He noted that the man who shared the viral video felt forced to speak out because the victim’s family had already accused him of collaborating with Harrison to misappropriate the funds.
VeryDarkMan went on to dismiss Harrison’s public “debunking” video, describing it as emotional manipulation, misleading, and an attempt to justify wrongdoing rather than reveal the truth.
He added that Harrison has since returned the ₦5.4 million and is currently in police custody in Benin. According to him, if Harrison refuses to fully open up about what happened, he will go ahead and expose everything himself.
Despite the controversy, VeryDarkMan insisted that his actions have nothing to do with envy, saying he has always used his platform to promote honesty.
“I genuinely believed he had changed. If he hadn’t dropped that manipulative video, I probably would’ve left the whole thing alone,” he said.
Reactions remain mixed while some applaud VeryDarkMan for bringing the issue to light, others question why such disputes always end up in the public space.
