Champion sprinter Usain Bolt was in a car crash early Sunday morning, but escaped uninjured.
A rep for Bolt says the crash took place in Kingston, Jamaica at 5:15 AM. Bolt was returning home from a Saturday night shin-dig with friends when the “fender bender” occurred.
The rep said there were no injuries and Bolt is “fine and resting at home
The accident comes just 47 days before the start of the London Olympics – but before then Bolt will run at the Jamaica National Championship, which serves as a trial for selecting a Games team.
The 100m and 200m world record holder was involved in a crash in 2009 when he totalled another BMW after swerving into a ditch along a busy Jamaican highway.
Bolt suffered minor injuries to his feet in that accident and was back in training weeks later.
