The United States Department of State has announced a reward of $10 million for information leading to the capture or identification of Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s newly appointed supreme leader, along with several other senior Iranian officials.
Also listed among the wanted individuals are Eskandar Momeni and Esmail Khatib, who are part of a group of 10 people named by the department.
The State Department stated, “These individuals command and direct various elements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which plans, organizes and executes terrorism around the world.”
Authorities encouraged anyone with useful information to submit tips through secure communication channels such as Tor or Signal. They also noted that those who provide credible intelligence may qualify for relocation assistance as well as a financial reward.
The bounty is being offered through the Rewards for Justice Program, an initiative run by the State Department that offers monetary rewards for information that helps lead to the arrest or prosecution of wanted suspects.
The announcement comes after the death of Ali Khamenei, the father of Mojtaba Khamenei, who was killed in a bombing on February 28 at the beginning of the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
