University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) emerged the overall winner of the 24th edition of the National University Games (NUGA) held at Obafemi Awolowo University, with a total of 120 medals.
The official final medals table released late on Saturday showed that UNIPORT won 63 gold medals, 41 silver medals and 16 bronze medals.
University of Lagos came second with 30 medals, comprising 13 gold, 10 silver and seven bronze medals.
The host university, Obafemi Awolowo University, took the third position with 36 medals, made up of 12 gold medals, nine silver medals and 15 bronze medals.
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, got 30 medals to occupy the fourth position with nine gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze medals.
The fifth position went to Bayero University, Kano, with seven gold medals, one silver and three bronze medals, while University of Benin got six gold medals, four silver medals and five bronze medals to take the sixth position.
Ladoke Akintola University came seventh with six gold medals, four silver medals and five bronze medals.
University of Ilorin was eighth with four gold medals, three silver medals and 15 bronze medals, while University of Maiduguri took the ninth position with three gold medals, five silver and nine bronze medals.
University of Nigeria, Nsukka, had a total of 19 medals – two gold, six silver and 11 bronze medals to make the 10th position.
University of Uyo came last on the 38th position with one bronze medal.
